Influenced Our Final Planning Decisions 

These 3 music videos have influenced our final planning decisions in terms of which ideas we are using/adapting for our production. This will also focus specifically on ideas around editing, camerawork and mise-en-scene.

Katy B feat. Ms Dynamite - Lights On

This video consists of flashing and strobe lights which gives off a nice effect. It has shots of the artist with city lights and scenery in the background whilst she is singing, which is one of the shots we are looking to create. As we are filming at night, this will give of a great effect as well as s spooky mysterious feel with the dark alley ways a graffiti walls.

Jme - 96 FUCKRIES

In terms of setting/location, this video is a great example of how different urban locations was used as base tracks within the video. As a UK Grime artist, JME has represented this with the mise en scene as he is surrounded by the the urban, city locations e.g graffiti walls and central London This is also shown within his costume; wearing a snap-back and leather jacket.
With our music video, graffiti shown in a spotlight at night would look amazing and our group have planned out how we are going to use the lighting to our advantage.
The style of editing JME has used is not what we are going for, as the amount of cuts every second is too much, and instead we are using longer takes to accentuate certain lyrics and to show the location the artist is in, as it is focusing on her and her surroundings.

Rita Ora - R.I.P. ft. Tinie Tempah

This video focuses on Rita Ora as she is the artist. Therefore she is in locations that have no relevance to the song, and the video is capturing the image of the main performer as she is new and this is her first single. This has an influence on us, as our music video is going to be disjuncture because we want to focus on the artist and not tell a narrative. However we are going to have detailed locations as we want to introduce urban settings and bright lighting because we are filming in the dark which will make it more mysterious.
