As I luckily live in a, considerably, urban area and live near urban areas I constantly pass a range of different, potential filming locations for our music video on a regularly basis. Though our song has a real mysterious and dark feel to it, It also has a slight urban edge that goes with the vision we are aiming for our music
video. We are aiming for a variety of scenes to be filmed in urban settings in underpasses, alleyways, woods and also scenes in the heart of London to really capture the feel of central London with all the bright lights from traffic, the city, restaurants, streetlamps etc.
Here are some pictures I have taken whilst visiting South Bank:
This is an under-passage with firework-style lighting along the ceiling. I believe this would show up very well at night and may add a god element, and a good visual to our music video. |
This picture is a long walk alongside the river Thames, as cafe's and restaurants border this, this will be every useful when filming our subject as, at night, the lights from the restaurant's and cafe's give a nice glow along this passage also. |
This is also taken from the under passage - a different pattern shown on the ceiling. |
Also, in the underpass there is a long trail of lighting along the floor which gives off a sort off a lighted sort of pathway, in the night time - in which we will be filming - the lights here will be more evident and give off a real city feeling and even a slight spooky effect which is perfect for our music video. |
I also managed to take these images when travelling along ballspond road towards Dalston:
This alleyway is long and quite narrow, this would be perfect for filming some of the scenes of the artist in the urban setting. |
This has a clear pathway surrounded by trees, at night time the trees will cast a clear shadow upon the ground which will give the spooky edge required in our music video. |
This is another alleyway that will be useful when filming as this alleyway is quite narrow, and more secluded than the other alleyway, this means it may give off more of a spooky feel once it is night time. |
