Research - My Favourite Student Music Video

This is an example of a student MV that inspired me. Editing in this video appears professional and sophisticated. Jump cuts and manipulation of speed of the footage are included, which are popular edits in music videos. The camera is never static yet always focuses on the performer. The camera moves in a range of different ways, from pans to tilts. Although they have filmed at night they have made sure that they used correct lighting equipment to ensure that footage does not become low quality. Locations are cleverly used as they give an urban feel, which matches the costume and urban feel the performer also has. Although it is a student music video the skills they use for the production of this music video do not appear amateur but appear in a more sophisticated manor. Click here to view this video.
